- After several
years service, node 5240's PA finally gave up the ghost a few days
ago. I've used one of my other GM300's to get the node back on, but
please be aware this GM300 is a narrow band version (i.e. 12.5 kHz
channel spacing). The original had a 25kHz filter. Please
watch your audio levels into the node. I'm still looking for a 25kHz
replacement, I guess I could just swap the PA's over, but I like to
keep the radios as standard as possible. Anyway, 5240 is back on,
and for now, will continue to broadcast the current STS-117 mission
during the crew's "waking" hours.
